Spain stay days for Russia passport holders

For Russia passport holders travelling to Spain: An ordinary passport requires a visa. A lawfully admitted short-stay visitor is subject to the shared 90-day rolling Schengen ceiling and any shorter visa allowance. The national route and exceptional extension limit are supported.

Key facts

Permitted stay
90 days
How days count
Up to 90 days in a rolling 180 days window. Follow the official counting rules below.
Arrival and departure
An ordinary passport requires a visa unless a separate documented exemption applies. For a lawfully admitted short-stay visitor, the shared Schengen ceiling is 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. Count arrival and departure days; the visa sticker may allow fewer days and a visa does not itself guarantee admission.
Extensions
For a visa-required entrant, Spain permits extension of a visa issued for less than 3 months, with total stay limited to 3 months in a 6-month period in the national wording and subject to the shared 90-days-in-180 Schengen ceiling. The separate exceptional extra period for visa-exempt entrants does not apply to this passport. Months have not been converted into days to create an extra allowance. The extension is not automatic; force majeure, humanitarian or serious personal grounds must be shown under the applicable rule.

Exceptions and unsupported cases
