Who needs it
Covered non-visa visitors need an ETA, including children. British/Irish passport holders and people with relevant UK permission are among those exempt. Landside airport transit can require one.

Valid for 2 years or passport expiry, whichever comes first. Multiple trips are possible; ordinary visits are up to 6 months subject to the visit rules.
